MITOCHONDRIA full spectrum mineral analysis      The Impact of Magnesium on Intracellular Structures and Function

Magnesium Has a Protective Effect on Cardiac Mitochondria

To summarize this latest information, we see that
magnesium has a protective effect on cardiac muscle
 and cardiac mitochondria.

Magnesium infusion into infarcted tissue before and
during a heart attack prevented calcium crystal formation
 in mitochondria.

In humans, magnesium infusion prevented calcium
formation in patients who where undergoing a heart
attack. Oxidative phosphorylation was preserved which is
the means by which the heart muscle generates energy.

Newly developed channel blockers were designed to
produce the same effect. But magnesium administration

was a better option in many instances with no side effects.
